Turning 8 together!

And its that time of the year

when we celebrate your birthdays

With lots of fun and cheer

Gifts, love and of course cake to smear

Like every year I sat down again

To put few words of yours and mine

Reliving all the memories we made

Finding feelings to describe your shine

Remembering the first time I held you

And my hands all held tight

With fear, that I might hurt you

But that was our love at first sight

From then to now it’s been a journey

Holding hands to feeding together

Running after to walking away

Arguing, nagging and at times shouting too

But you my boy have taught me life again

To look at things from what I missed

To live a roller coaster ride every day

Some day with fun while many others it’s a new spun

I know I go harsh on you at times

And you look with confused eyes

Figuring out my emotions for you

Which is just my another form of love

So dear son, you and me make a team

Which is all set to find a path for you

I would hold your hand till you are good to go

On your own and follow your rainbow

The happiness in your eyes

Will makes mine shine too

The sorrows in your voice

Add pain which only I can construe

They say I am just being a crazy mom

While all I do is think mostly about you

I know soon you will not need me for the little things

But I will always have you as my little being

So today as you hit the “two fat ladies’ number 8

And step in another rocking year ahead
